Anxiety likes to steal a lot of things from your life. It steals your joy, your potential for happiness and your time. The amount of time lost to anxiety in my own life is heartbreaking.
This post was originally written as a new year, new start, kind of post, but really, no matter what time of year it is you can always initiate the fight to get your life back.
Anxiety and depression often creep in, whisper doubts and uncertainty in my ear. I guarantee they are doing the same in yours. But I fight back, and I want to make sure that I am equipping you with the tools to do the same.
As always one of my main goals every year is to be more efficient and organized. I feel like each year I learn new tips and tricks, learn more about what works and doesn’t work for my family. For me, being organized is the best way to make sure that I get what I want out of life and even when my anxiety is threatening to push me over the edge I ALWAYS have a plan in place! I always know where to go and what to do.
Setting goals for yourself is so important. Goals setting is basically a way for you to set an action plan for your life.
For example, we could say our GOAL is to spend more quality time together as a family. But if we don’t address the HOW then most likely things will be the same.
Actionable goals give you something to work towards. It is a map to help you peer past the anxiety and depression you are feeling in the moment and see the victory of success you will achieve if you keep pushing forward.
How to create Goals
The Happy Healthy Wealthy Goal Setting Workbook is broken out into several categories. Yearly, monthly and individual goal categories like career, parenting and saving.
I would suggest starting with the Year, then move to the month and then to the individual categories. Get more specific as your work your way down. Once you get to the individual goal categories you will also have space to add HOW you will accomplish your goal.
Example:
Goal – Spend more quality time together
How – Simplify meal planning, create a simplified morning routine and Create a weeknight screen-free activity plan
Actionable Plan
Meal Planning – Use Dinner Daily for Dinners and a rotating breakfast and lunch list.
Morning Routine – Use home cleaning guide, Beachbody on demand, and meal plan to get all maintenance items done before 10 am
Screen-Free Activities – M-Game Night T-Dance Party W-Dress up and Makeovers T-Toy night F- Night Out

I keep reading that the best way to accomplish your goals is to physically write them down. Once it’s out there on paper it’s like a permanent commitment that you can hold yourself accountable to.
So this year one of my goals is to be more intentional about my goals. That sounds crazy when I say it like that. But what I mean is that I am going to start writing them down. Reviewing them. Working on them and marking them done!
Join me! Download the FREE Goal Setting workbook now! Take control of your life. Be intentional. Don’t let anything, especially anxiety or depression, steal the life you WANT from you!
Good Morning, I am trying to request the goal planner but it wont let me.
